The methods of administration of organic essential oils (see here) are varied. Depending on its properties, an essential oil may have one or more modes of use. To avoid any error in use and risk of intoxication or irritation, always read the instructions for your essential oil carefully and, if in doubt, ask your pharmacist for advice.
It is about ingesting one drop (and usually only one) of essential oil applied to a sugar or diluted in a fat or alcohol 60 mg, so as not to irritate your digestive system.
Essential oils, a few drops in a dish, can also be used for their flavours, especially in desserts (compotes, jams, etc.) ! In this case, think about diluting your essential oil well in a spoonful of fat before adding it to your dish.
When applied directly to the skin, in massage or not, essential oils must be diluted to avoid any irritation.
For example, Peppermint essential oil diluted in oil and applied to the temples (taking care to avoid the eye area) will be your best ally against migraines and headaches.
You can also pour a few drops of different essential oils into your bath, previously diluted in your shower gel. Combine, for example, Chamomile and Lavender, for a successful break.
Essential oils can be inhaled (in a bowl of hot water) to clear the airways or used in atmospheric diffusion. Cold diffused, to preserve their benefits, they are useful for cleaning the air in a room, protecting the airways, keeping mosquitoes away.
Distribution should, however, be limited to 30 minutes and ideally take place in the absence of children or subjects at risk.
